Patti Smith Headlines Escape to New York Festival
Patti Smith, the Psychedelic Furs, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Best Coast have been announced as performers at the Escape to New York festival, which will be held at the Shinnecock Reservation Land in Southampton, New York on August 5-7th. The event, which will include high-end camping, experimental theater, installation art and brunch will also feature performances by Au Revoir Simone, Chairlift, the Vaccines, White Rabbits and many more. Arcade Fire Reveal ‘The Suburbs‘ Deluxe Details
Arcade Fire are set to release a deluxe edition of their hit album The Suburbs on August 2nd. The expanded set will include a DVD featuring Spike Jonze’s short film Scenes From the Suburbs as well as two bonus tracks – a cut called “Culture War” and a collaboration with David Byrne titled “Speaking in Tongues.” [Pitchfork]
Bruise Cruise 2012 Announced
The Bruise Cruise Festival – a four-day punk rock show set on an actual cruise ship – will return for a second event on February 10-13th of next year. Yuck Plan New Tour Dates
British indie rockers Yuck have extended their North American tour with a string of dates beginning with an appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival on July 17th.
