Snow Patrol Play ‘Open Your Eyes’ at Hyde Park Olympic Celebration
Snow Patrol took the stage in London’s Hyde Park on Friday night as part of the BT London Live concert to celebrate the opening of the Olympic Games. The concert, which was timed to run during the Danny Boyle-directed opening ceremony spectacle, featured four acts, each hailing from a different country in the United Kingdom. Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini opened the show, followed by England’s Duran Duran; Stereophonics played next for Wales, and Snow Patrol closed the night out, representing Northern Ireland.
After an outcry was raised when Bruce Springsteen’s Hyde Park concert got cut short for a 10:30 p.m. curfew, Westminster Council agreed to let the Olympics event run until 1 a.m.
