Tour Alert: Shins Hit the Road as Major Label Band
The Shins
The Shins are about to hit the road for the first time as a major label band. The New Mexico psychedelic pop group have announced that they will release their forthcoming fourth album on Aural Apothecary, an imprint of Columbia Records that will be run by frontman James Mercer. Mercer will be backed up on tour by a band including songwriter and producer Richard Swift, Modest Mouse drummer Joe Plummer, Crystal Skulls member Yuuki Matthews and singer/songwriter Jessica Dobson. No title or release date has been announced for the Shins’ major label debut, but the band’s summer tour dates are as follows:

Death Cab for Cutie
Death Cab for Cutie are set to head out for another leg of their tour in support of their latest album Codes and Keys. This next round of shows will include appearances at several large venues, including a homecoming gig at the Key Arena in Seattle on October 22nd.
