Report: Snoop Dogg Detained by Norwegian Customs Officials
Snoop Dogg was reportedly detained by customs officials in Norway after he entered the country with marijuana and cash, the Associated Press reports.
As Norwegian law prevents law enforcement officials from naming suspects, customs officials declined to confirm reports from the local media. All officials would say was that a sniffer dog detected a small amount of marijuana on an American artist entering the country. An anonymous customs official said that the artist received a 52,000 kroner ($8,600) fine for carrying more cash into Norway than is legally allowed.
Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform today at the Hovefestival in Arendal, Norway.
This isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has been arrested for marijuana possession. Earlier this year, the rapper was busted in Texas after a drug-sniffing dog found less than half an ounce of weed in a wastebasket.
