Premiere: All-American Rejects Animate in ‘Walk Over Me’
The All-American Rejects get loud and brash on their new single, “Walk Over Me,” and in this new clip, the band features unpredictable visuals just as rowdy as the song. Augmented by animation, the group performs the track with supernatural ability, riding a goofy horse, playing with a giant snake and seeing their instruments turn into surreal objects of sound. Monsters arrive, rockets fly and a guitar headstock morphs into a crying baby.
“This video is 5,312 pictures that Jon Danovic the director, myself, our friends, and some sweet people we found on Craigslist.com animated together to marry a song about losing your mind,” frontman Tyson Ritter tells Rolling Stone. “It took four mind-numbing weeks, piles of cigarettes, loads of beer and a spiritual adviser to complete.”
“Walk Over Me” is on the All-American Rejects’ most recent album, Kids in the Street, and the band kicks off a North American tour in Costa Mesa, California on August 8th.
