Week in Review: Lady Gaga Rocks a Prosthetic Penis at the VMAs
Rolling Stone kicked off this week with full coverage of the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, complete with a hilarious live chat and post-show recap by Rob Sheffield. As always, the show was full of memorable moments – most notably, Beyoncé announced that she is pregnant with Jay-Z’s child, and Lady Gaga spent the entire night in character as her drag alter ego Jo Calderone. Gaga went very Method with her performance, going so far as to wear a prosthetic penis under her clothes to channel her character’s macho swagger.
