The Sheepdogs Celebrate at cover shoot
After months of competing in the Choose the Cover contest, the Sheepdogs were jubilant at their Rolling Stone cover shoot at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on July 11th. “It’s pretty fucking thrilling, man!,” says frontman Ewan Currie. “We’ve been talking about it for months and it just happened, it’s pretty surreal and I’m pretty tickled about it.” The Canadian boogie rockers are feeling very optimistic about their future in the wake of the contest. “We played on Canada Day in our hometown, Saskatoon. The last time we played in Saskatoon, we played to 300 people, and this time we sold out a show of up to 3,000 people and people were scalping tickets!” says bassist Ryan Gullen. “I’m looking forward to how my life is gonna go,” says Currie. “I’m not as bummed out about the future.”
