Lawyer Disputes Tupac Shooting Claim
The lawyer of James Rosemond, the music industry mogul accused of plotting a 1994 assault on Tupac Shakur by a man who recently confessed to taking part in the shooting, has claimed that his client had nothing to do with the attack. Convicted killer Dexter Isaac took responsibility for the shooting earlier this week, saying that he was paid $2,500 by Rosemond to shoot and rob the rapper at Quad Studios in Manhattan. Shakur was shot five times in the attack but survived, only to be murdered in another shooting in Las Vegas in 1996.

Rosemond, owner of Czar Entertainment and manager of The Game, is currently a fugitive from justice wanted by the DEA and federal marshals for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring. Though police are investigating the claims made by Isaac regarding the Shakur shooting, charges are unlikely to be made since the statute of limitations for an assault charge has expired.
