Microsoft Adds More Wi-Fi Options, Bigger Hard Drives For Zune
In an effort to move in further on Apple’s market share, Microsoft revealed some upgrades for its Zune music player. First, the line expanded to include a 120-gig player. Additionally, Zune users will now be able to buy and download music onto their Zune from any WiFi hotspot. Another upgrade allows users to “tag” songs they hear on the Zune’s FM receiver. From there, you can download the song from a hotspot. Other updates include genre-specific playlists programmed by music critics, software that introduces new music to the user and a new online music social network called Zune Card. All upgrades are expected to go live on September 16th for all new and existing Zunes.
