Pink Marries Longtime Boyfriend
Pink married longtime boyfriend, motocross racer Carey Hart, on Saturday in a beach-front ceremony at the Four Seasons resort in Costa Rica. More than 100 guests — including Lisa Marie Presley — attended the event, which is the first marriage for both.
Pink (born Alecia Moore), 26, and Hart, 30, met at the 2001 X Games in Las Vegas, and the singer proposed to him last summer during the Pro 250 racing finals in Mammoth Lakes, California, by writing “Will you marry me?” on a pit board.
Motocross star Hart is also a reality-TV regular, having appeared in the fifth season of VH1’s The Surreal Life and currently featured in A&E’s Inked, about the ins and outs of his Vegas tattoo parlor. Pink burst onto the music scene with her 2001 cover of “Lady Marmalade,” alongside Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Mya, which earned her her first of two Grammys. The rocker followed that success with the Top Five hit “Get the Party Started,” rocketing her sophomore album, 2001’s M!ssundaztood, to double-platinum status.
Pink will release I’m Not Dead, the follow-up to 2003’s Try This, this spring, and will star in the upcoming horror film, Catacombs.
