Two more people have been declared dead after this weekend’s Love Parade tragedy in Duisberg, Germany, where 19 people were killed in a stampede. German prosecutors also revealed yesterday that all of the deceased had crushed ribcages, and that over 500 people were injured when panic broke out in the tunnel connecting two festival sites. [CBC]

Billy Joel‘s Shea Stadium concert film The Last Play at Shea will premiere at the new home of the New York Mets, Citi Field, on August 21st. “The Last Play at Shea was one of the most memorable events I have ever performed,” Billy Joel said in a statement. “I’m proud to relive those nights again at Citi Field, which has continued the musical legacy of Shea.” The premiere will be the largest outdoor movie presentation since 1919.

Al Goodman, a member of soul group the Moments, passed away due to heart failure during surgery on July 26th in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was 67. Goodman last had a Number One hit in 1980 with Ray, Goodman and Brown’s “Special Lady” but had a revival of sorts when the Moments song “Love on a Two Way Street” was sampled in Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind.” [CNN]
