Eminem Takes an “Encore”
Rapper Eminem will release his fourth album, Encore, on November 16th, according to his label, Interscope. The album will be the follow-up to 2002’s The Eminem Show which debuted at Number One on the Billboard charts.
Meanwhile, the rapper has been busy with various side projects. In April, he released an album, D12 World, with his rap collective D12. And, later in the fall, Eminem will launch his own channel on Sirius‘ satellite-radio network. Listeners will need a special receiver and a subscription (which will cost around thirteen dollars a month). The station will be an outlet for Eminem to play his music, work by D12 and other rappers on his Shady Records imprint including 50 Cent and Obie Trice.
“This channel gives me a direct outlet to the streets and our audience,” Eminem told Rolling Stone in July. “No middleman, no playlists, no bullshit. And most of all, no censorship.”
