Tour Alert: The Shins Announce Amphitheater Gigs
The Shins
Following the release of the first single, “Simple Song,” from their upcoming studio album, Port of Morrow (out March 20th), the Shins have announced a leg of U.S. tour dates beginning on April 13th in Las Vegas. This is a big move for the Shins, finally making the leap to performing in large amphitheaters.

Bon Iver recently announced a string of live dates on the West Coast, following their performance over the weekend as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The shows begin on April 12th and include performances at Coachella, the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Sasquatch Music Festival.

Mike Doughty has decided to expand his current tour, entitled “The Book of Drugs: Concert, Reading, Q&A,” in support of his new memoir, The Book of Drugs, his most recent album, Yes And Also Yes, and also his new two-disc live album, The Question Jar Show. He added dates in the Midwest and on the West Coast for March and April, sometimes even performing twice in one night.
