Sheryl Crow Exchanges Free Album Download For New Voters
You’ve probably heard a million times already that you should register to vote, and if you’re already registered, you should get your friends to register. If preventing headlines like this isn’t incentive enough, perhaps Sheryl Crow can persuade you. Crow announced today she’ll give free digital downloads of her new album Detours to the first 50,000 people who get three of their friends to register to vote. Crow’s plan was the first strike in Rock The Vote’s voter registration drive. Additionally, Crow will provide a free download of her song “Gasoline” to anyone who logs onto the Rock the Vote site or signs up for their mailing list. In other election year news, the Denver Post is reporting that a Bruce Springsteen performance at Denver’s Invesco Field next Thursday night (after Barack Obama’s speach) is a “95% sure thing.”
