Hannah Montana the Focus of Teen’s Hijack Plot
A sixteen-year-old Los Angeles teenager is under arrest in Nashville after allegedly plotting to hijack an airplane and crash it into a Hannah Montana concert in Louisiana. The teen flew from L.A. to Nashville Tuesday night without incident, but his plan, according to reports, was to hijack the plane and force the pilots to divert the course from Tennessee to Lafayette, Louisiana, so that the teenager could crash into a Hannah Montana concert in that city’s Cajundome in an elaborate suicide plot.
In the teen’s possession were handcuffs, duct tape and yarn, as his plan was to overtake the flight crew with those items. “Sounds like a desperate cry for attention,” said one traveler. The teen obviously did his research, somehow acquiring a copy of the flight plan and schedules. Unfortunately, he may have overlooked checking Hannah Montana’s tour itinerary: While this all went down Tuesday, the singer wasn’t scheduled to perform in the Cajundome until tonight. The teen is currently being held in the Davidson County Juvenile Center (where he’s likely being forced to listen to Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus on repeat) as he awaits charges for felony terrorism.
UPDATE: A spokesman for the FBI tells Us Weekly that the teen wasn’t heading for the Hannah Montana concert after all, though the suspect is believed to be suicidal.
