2012 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Premieres on HBO
HBO will air the 2012 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday night, beginning with a premiere broadcast of the show starting at 9 p.m. ET. The ceremony, which was filmed on April 14th at the Public Hall in Cleveland, features the inductions of Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Small Faces/Faces, Laura Nyro and Freddie King.
Presenters at this year’s induction included Chuck D, LL Cool J, Green Day, Smokey Robinson, Steve Van Zandt, John Mellencamp, ZZ Top, Carole King and Bette Midler. Performers included Green Day, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Faces featuring Mick Hucknall, Donovan and the Roots featuring Kid Rock, Black Thought and Travie McCoy.
HBO will air the show several times through the coming weeks, starting with a 24-hour marathon of the special on HBO Signature beginning on May 6th, and multiple broadcasts on HBO and HBO2 through the end of the month.
