According to the Gagosian Gallery, many of Dylan's works in the series are "firsthand depictions of people, street scenes, architecture and landscape," while others are "cryptic paintings often of personalities and situations." This will be Dylan's first exhibition of paintings in New York City, though his work has been shown in Chemnitz, Germany and at the Statens Museum in Copenhagen.
