Usher’s “OMG” Overtakes B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You” on Hot 100
The same week B.o.B topped the Billboard 200 with his debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray , the up-and-coming rapper relinquished the Number One spot on the Hot 100. “Nothin’ on You” dropped to Number Two as Usher’s “OMG” with Will.i.am grabbed the top spot. “OMG” marks the ninth time since 1998 that Usher has scored a Hot 100 Number One, outpacing both Rihanna and Mariah Carey, both of whom have earned six in that time span. Usher’s last Number One single was March 2008’s “Love in This Club.”
The rest of the Hot 100 Top 10 remained largely the same — last week’s Top Five each moved down one spot to make room for “OMG” — with the exception of Number 10, where Jay-Z and Mr Hudson’s Blueprint 3 track “Young Forever” reached a new peak in its 16th week on the chart.
As has been the case in recent weeks, a new episode of Glee means a handful of new selections from the Fox show enter the Hot 100. This time around, five Glee songs debuted, led by “One Less Bell to Answer/A House is Not a Home” at Number 53.
