Tonsillitis Postpones Glee Shoot
An outbreak of tonsillitis that felled several cast members caused Glee to postpone work on its post-Super Bowl episode on Friday, according to Entertainment Weekly. “In bed, hoping that medicine, soup, my computer and a marathon of movies will be the cure,” the show’s Dianna Agron wrote on her blog Friday. Justin Bieber’s “Baby” and a musical rendering of Antoine Dodson’s TV interview about an attempted rape against his sister were the most-viewed videos on YouTube this year, the site announced Monday. Bieber’s video clocked some 406 million views, while Dodson’s total — which includes two versions of the “Bed Intruder Song” — is over 61 million. [Associated Press]
Franz Ferdinand Play Surprise Show
Franz Ferdinand played a surprise gig at the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in England on Saturday night, although the band didn’t debut any new material. Earlier in the day the group’s Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy joined former Orange Juice singer Edwin Collins for two songs during his set; Collins was backed by Teenage Fanclub, which meant three generations of Scottish indie-rock were briefly on the stage.
