Björk has revealed that her forthcoming album Biophilia will be released as an “app album,” with an app for each of the record’s 10 tracks. One of the apps, for a song called “Virus,” will be an interactive game in which the listener must stop a virus from destroying a group of cells. [Pitchfork]
St. Vincent Return With ‘Strange Mercy’
Annie Clark is set to release Strange Mercy (4AD), her third album as St. Vincent, on September 13th. The 11-track album – song titles include “Cruel, Cheerleader” and “Surgeon” – was recorded by Clark at Elmwood Studios in her hometown of Dallas, Texas with producer John Congleton. [Press release]

The release date for Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV has been pushed back again, this time from June 21st to August 29th. Earlier this year the rapper claimed that the album was finished at a show on his I Am Still Music tour. [Nah Right]
