Darius Rucker and Jimmy Fallon The duo sings ‘I Don’t Care’ from Rucker’s new LP
Few artists in the history of recorded music have reinvented themselves as successfully as Darius Rucker has over the past few years. Just three years ago, he was touring the world with Hootie and the Blowfish, singing their 1990s hits to increasingly small crowds. In 2008, he released the country disc Learn to Live and starting scoring gigantic hits – marking his transformation into one of the most popular new country stars in recent memory. His newest disc, Charleston, SC 1966, has been equally popular, landing two songs at the Number One spot on the Country Songs chart.
Last night, Rucker stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to perform his new single, “I Don’t Care,” and Fallon himself even donned a cowboy hat to sing Brad Paisley’s parts from the record.
