Philly-based rockers the War On Drugs released their most recent album, Slave Ambient, back in August, and they have been touring steadily this fall in support of the album. Their anthemic track “Come to the City” has become a prominent part of their live set, even if it almost didn’t make the record. Singer and guitarist Adam Granduciel explains that the song “took three years to record, and after working on it for so long, it was one that we never actually knew how to play live. Now, five-plus months later, it’s become the centerpiece of our live show.”
The War On Drugs’ album Slave Ambient is available now, but you can download “Come to the City” for free here.
