Bruce Springsteen Heads to Swing States For Three Obama Concerts
With the presidential election only a month way, Bruce Springsteen is taking his support of Barack Obama to the swing states with three more shows benefiting the Democrat. First, Springsteen will travel to Philadelphia for an acoustic set at an open-air rally this Saturday, October 4th. Springsteen will then head to Columbus, Ohio to play the Ohio State University campus on Sunday, the 5th. Bruce will then conclude his odyssey through the purple states on Monday, October 6th, with a performance at Eastern Michigan University. Tickets for all three concerts can be had by visiting either Campaign for Change offices in the respective areas or heading over to Obama’s website. Like Jay-Z’s Obama-inspired concerts this weekend in Detroit and Miami, the shows are a reminder to potential voters that the voter registration deadline is October 6th. In addition to this weekend’s performances, as previously announced, Springsteen will join Billy Joel at an Obama benefit concert at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom on October 16th.
