Kasabian Share their dinosaur knowledge
The anthemic English rockers Kasabian have enjoyed plenty of highlights in 2012 already: they were nominated for Best British Group at the Brit Awards (an honor they won in 2010), they perfected their pouts performing for America’s fashion elite at New York Fashion Week and they delivered rambunctious sets during both weekends of Coachella.
However, when guitarist-singer Sergio Pizzorno stopped by Rolling Stone‘s Rock Room party during the second weekend of the festival, he was happy to extol at length about the namesake creatures of the band’s 2011 album, Velociraptor! “They hunted in packs of four and were very much a gang. I like the sentiment behind that as well,” Pizzorno informed Rolling Stone. “You can’t call an album like that and not know your facts, you know, ’cause you get asked every interview. It’s nice to know a bit about them.”
“They had feathers,” he added helpfully. “Not many people know that. But now you do.”
