‘American Idiot‘ Ticket Sales Plummet
Ticket sales for the Broadway production of American Idiot have dropped off significantly since Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong left the cast at the end of February. Box office grosses for the show dropped from $1.3 million during the final week with Armstrong to $395,275 for last week’s eight performances. All of the shows on Broadway saw some sales decline in the past week, but no drop-off was as severe as American Idiot‘s. [NY Times]
