Kanye West Recruits N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco, Rihanna For New Tour
After dropping a handful of hints, Kanye West officially announced late yesterday that he will embark on the “Glow In The Dark” tour this year. “The end of the world as you know it!!!” boasts Kanye’s blog, which also spotlights the tour’s flier. While no dates have been listed, the flier reveals the artists accompanying West: Lupe Fiasco, Rihanna and N.E.R.D., who will drop their new album N.3.R.D. in the spring. The tour will unify the three elements of rap supergroup Child Rebel Soldier, or CRS (Lupe, Kanye and N.E.R.D.’s Pharrell Williams), who early in 2007 released the Thom Yorke-sampling track “Us Placers.” Lupe has previously announced plans to release a CRS album in late 2008, so this tour will likely serve as an opportunity for the three rap superpowers to collaborate.
