Chris Brown to Remain on Supervised Probation
Chris Brown will remain on supervised probation and return to court in January after an overseas tour, a Los Angeles judge has decided. The Associated Press reports that Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg did not address concerns raised at a September hearing about whether the singer had complied with conditions of the community service sentence stemming from his 2009 assault of Rihanna. A July audit had prompted questions from prosecutors about how many community service hours Brown had completed.
A probation officer wrote in a report that Brown “appears to be making a sincere effort to comply with terms and conditions of probation.” Brown will kick off a tour of Europe and South Africa on November 14th, and is set to return to court on January 17th.
