Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber Rule List of Top Earning Celebs Under 30
Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber top Forbes‘ latest list of highest earning celebrities under 30, pulling down $57 million and $55 million, respectively, between May 2011 and May 2012. All three of Swift’s records have gone platinum four times over, adding to her live shows, which earn an average $1 million each night, and her endorsement deals with companies like CoverGirl. Bieber has been busy with endorsements like Proactiv and stays active on the investment end with startups including Stamped, Tinychat and Spotify.
Bieber is the only guy in the top five: Rihanna follows him with $53 million, then Lady Gaga with $52 million and Katy Perry with $45 million. Rihanna’s 85-date tour and promotions with Nivea and Vita Coco helped ramp up her earnings, while Gaga dropped from last year’s $90 million without the help of a massive tour (her Born This Way Ball kicked off too late for Forbes). Though Perry rounds out the top five, her recent film Katy Perry: Part of Me pulled in an underwhelming $7 million in its first weekend.
