Recovering Crow Ready for the Road
Currently recovering from breast cancer, Sheryl Crow has rescheduled eleven dates of her recently cancelled March and April tour in support of her latest album, Wildflower. The trek is now set to begin June 12th in Indianapolis.
The Grammy-winning musician, 44, was forced to cancel her spring run last month when doctors detected early signs
of breast cancer. Crow underwent minimally invasive surgery to remove the cancer and is currently undergoing radiation treatment as a precaution.
According to Crow, the treatments will leave her with some skin irritation, redness and fatigue, but she’ll be able to rest up in time for a summer trek.
“Believe you me,” Crow writes on her Web site, “I will be taking
it easy because I will be gearing up for our summer tour, which I am already looking forward to. It is my favorite time to tour. And I feel certain, for me, it will be a celebration every night of how lucky I feel with this life I have been given.”
In addition to the string of rescheduled dates, featuring country singer Jack Ingram as support, Crow will open for Dave
Mathews Band when they hit Boston’s Fenway Park July 7th and 8th.
