Lou Reed’s Manager Arrested for Threatening Recruiter
Lou Reed‘s manager Tommy Sarig was arrested Sunday on a charge of aggravated harassment after being accused of threatening to murder a headhunter over a money dispute.
Sarig allegedly threatened Adrian Smith, a consultant specializing in finding personal assistants for celebrities, after Smith attempted to collect a $11,500 fee for helping Reed select a new assistant. According to the Village Voice, Smith’s official complaint alleges that Sarig claimed he would send Israeli hit men to kill him if he continued to demand payment. Though Sarig and Reed have settled the unpaid bill, Smith filed the complaint anyway.
