Aretha Franklin Is ‘Feeling Great’ After Surgery
Though she has declined to speak about her health issues in detail, Aretha Franklin has announced that she is “feeling great” after a recent surgery.
The R&B legend told Jet magazine that she had no interest in discussing her health with anyone other than her doctors and did not acknowledge reports that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Nevertheless, Franklin did reveal that her troubles began when she discovered “a very hard pain” in her side while performing in Toronto last year, which led her to cancel all of her planned public appearances. She said that initial tests showed no problem, and that whatever it was that was ailing her has since been “resolved.”
