Wilco Go Garage Rock on Their First Indie Single
In this week’s slate of Rolling Stone reviews, Will Hermes praises “I Might,” the first single from Wilco’s forthcoming self-released album The Whole Love, which he says “sounds like it was knocked out by a garage band, albeit a knowing one.” Also, Christian Hoard loves Lloyd’s “crazy catchy, joyfully profane, vaguely retro R&B” tune “Dedication to My Ex (Miss That)” and Jody Rosen gives the thumbs up to Drake’s noirish “Marvin’s Room.” On the albums front, Barry Walters says that Brian Eno brings out the innate musicality of British poet Rick Holland on his new album Drums Between the Bells.
