Tennis Creepy new video for ‘Deep in the Woods’
Try not to dwell on the fact that the trash bag being dragged across a floor in the opening image of Tennis‘ new video seems to be leaking blood. The band’s sweet girl-group sound only enhances the creepy David Lynch-ian feel of the video for “Deep in the Woods,” a bonus track from the band’s new single, which is available today on Forest Family Records. (The Denver group’s next album, featuring production help from the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, comes out in February on Fat Possum.) Singer Alaina Moore explains that “Deep in the Woods” is based on Shirley Jackson’s novel “We Have Always Lived in a Castle.” “It is the story of two sisters, devoted to each other to an extent that borders on mania,” she says.
Tennis’ single for “Origins” is available on iTunes now.
