Chickenfoot ‘Behind the Foot’ spoofs band’s new LP
When Chickenfoot released their new LP Chickenfoot III in September it left many fans confused. It’s only their second LP, so why part III? At the time they said that second albums usually suck and they wanted to jump right to part III. In this new Behind the Music spoof, however, the guys tell the real story about Chickenfoot II. It involves a Sasquatch, a journey into space and an extremely bitter parting of ways with Sammy Hagar. The whole thing was such a disaster that they scratched the whole album, brought Sammy back into the band, and made part III. (Note: none of that actually happened.)
In real Chickenfoot news, we recently spoke to Sammy Hagar about the bands plans for 2013. “We want to play arenas and we want to play some big festivals in the summer,” he says. “But we don’t want to be learning in front of 70,000 fans, so that’s why we did this club tour this year.” Despite the plans to move on to big venues, Hagar rules out the possibility of adding Van Halen songs into the setlist. “Joe doesn’t need to be playing Eddie’s parts,” he says. “That would be degrading, and we aren’t that kind of band.”
