Previously Unseen Bob Dylan Lyrics From 1965
Dawn Peterson not only has a 1964 sunburst Fender Stratocaster that experts believe is the one that Bob Dylan played at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. She also has a set of unfinished lyrics found in the guitar case. Bob Dylan expert and noted rock memorabilia collector Jeff Gold examined them and confirmed they were legitimate. He even found the phrase "the six white horses" from the song "Absolutely Sweet Marie" within the lyrics, and compared them to his own handwritten manuscript of the song. As you can see here, they match up perfectly. Click through to see the complete set of lyric fragments. Other lines in the lyrics wound up on "Medicine Sunday," an early version of "Temporary Like Achilles."
