‘The Voice’ Finalists Head Out on Summer Tour
The Voice is about to hit the road. Following the example of hit tours featuring the casts of American Idol and Glee, a tour showcasing the hit singing competition’s eight finalists is in the works.
Though the concerts will include Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis, they will not feature the show’s superstar judges. According to Billboard‘s sources, tour organizers could not settle compensation issues with Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, all of whom regularly headline their own tours.
As of yet, no venues or dates have been announced for The Voice concert series. The tour is expected to kick off later this summer, and will likely conclude before the series returns following the Super Bowl in February.
