Band of Horses Play Intimate Acoustic Track
“This is easily my favorite of all the lineups we’ve had,” Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell tells Rolling Stone, discussing the group he assembled for the current tour supporting the album Infinite Arms. “Just chemistry wise, we’re finally at this point where we can challenge ourselves sonically and with different kinds of songs.” You can see as much in our exclusive video above, which shows an intimate acoustic version of the Infinite Arms track “Evening Kitchen,” played as the band huddles together on a balcony at the venue Kulturkirche in Cologne, Germany.
Band of Horses will make their Farm Aid debut this October 2nd at Milwaukee’s Miller Park, where they will join Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, Jeff Tweedy and others on the bill. Bridwell and company shared the stage with Nelson when they sang backup on “Mama, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” at a concert last year in Hawaii. “The first time I saw Neil and Willie was at Farm Aid in 2003 or 2004. It’s cool to be a part of it, being such a big fan of the artists,” Bridwell tells RS.
