Showtime to Air Suge Knight Documentary
Death Row Records co-founder Marion "Suge" Knight Jr. will be the subject of a new documentary to be produced by and broadcast on Showtime. The movie, tentatively titled simply Suge Knight, will be directed by Training Day filmmaker Antoine Fuqua and feature Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chuck Phillips as a co-producer. The documentary will tell Knight's story from his youth in Compton, California to his role in the East Coast/West Coast rap wars of the Nineties and beyond.

According to Showtime, this documentary about Knight will be the first in a series of films made for the premium network by prestigious talent about "iconic and controversial figures." Knight has given his approval to the project and his new music company, Black Kapital, will provide the movie's soundtrack.
