Foo Fighters Announce Arena Tour Dates
The Foo Fighters have announced a string of nine arena tour dates in the U.S. in September. The tour will kick off with a show at the Xcel Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 14th and continue on through Kansas City, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Buffalo before wrapping up at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on September 26th. Fox Reveals ‘X Factor’ Time Slot
Fox has announced that Simon Cowell’s new singing competition, The X Factor, will air on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET, with a results show to follow on Thursday night at the same time. The Wednesday episodes will run for 90 minutes, which is very unusual for network television. The program is expected to premiere in September. [Billboard]
No Age and Chloë Sevigny Join Performance Art Project
Los Angeles art punks No Age and actress Chloë Sevigny are set to take part in a performance project by artist Doug Aitken. The piece, titled “Black Mirror,” will feature a multi-channel video installation and a live performance on a floating barge with gospel singers, strippers and Greek percussionists. The exhibit will be on display at the DESTE Foundation’s Project Space on Hydra Island, off the Greek coast, from June 20th to September 25th. The live performances on the barge featuring No Age and Sevigny will take place at Piraeus Port off of Athens June 16-17th and then again off of Hydra Island June 19-20th. [Pitchfork]
