Adele Interviewed by Pete Townshend in 2007
Adele's big sweep at the Grammy Awards this weekend has officially cemented the British singer's position at the top of the music industry, but it wasn't so long ago that she was a fairly obscure soul singer. In this video filmed during the Who's 2007 European tour, a teenage Adele is interviewed by Rachel Fuller and Pete Townshend and performs a few songs including her early tunes "Hometown Glory" and "My Same." Fuller was prescient: she introduces the Adele as "the next new big thing that's going to come out of England."
