‘Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols’ Gets 35th Anniversary Box Set
The Sex Pistols are set to honor the 35th anniversary of Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols with a limited-edition deluxe box set release. The collection contains three CDs and a live DVD, including a remastered version of the album from the original master tapes, six demos from the Spunk bootleg album and a demo studio recording of “Belsen Was a Gas.” The original master tapes were originally thought to be lost, but were rediscovered in January. The box set also includes a 7″ replica of the “God Save the Queen” A&M single, posters, stickers and a copy of the original handwritten lyrics to “God Save the Queen.”
The box set is scheduled for a September 24th release. Former Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon, a.k.a. Johnny Rotten, released This is PiL with Public Image Ltd in May.
