Watch a Supercut of Wes Anderson’s Slow-Motion Scenes
Wes Anderson‘s vivid, vibrant worlds, not to mention the perplexing, deceptively layered characters who inhabit them, have continually lent themselves to some super apt and epic slow-motion shots. Now, Vimeo user Alejandro Prullansky has compiled a super cut of Anderson’s slo-mo shots from across the director’s filmography, charmingly – and maybe a tad cheekily – set to The Shins‘ “New Slang.” All the heavy hits are covered, from Margot and Richie Tenenbaums’ reunion (The Royal Tenenbaums) to brothers Francis, Peter and Jack hopping a train in India (The Darjeeling Limited). And, of course, there’s a badass, bearded Bill Murray as Steve Zissou hoisting a kid on his shoulders and walking cooly in front of a cadre of cameramen (The Life Aquatic). If you haven’t gotten your daily dose of Rushmore‘s Max Fischer, this clip’s got also plenty of bloody noses and bees to help you get your fix.

Anderson’s next feature, The Grand Budapest Hotel is set to open in theaters on March 7th, and stars Ralph Fiennes as Gustave H., a concierge at the titular hotel who enlists the help of lobby boy Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori) to help clear his name after the hotel’s former owner, Madame D. (Tilda Swinton) is found dead. In the latest trailer, you can familiarize yourself with the film’s star-studded ensemble, which includes Adrian Brody, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Saoirse Ronan and many more. To tide you over until The Grand Budapest Hotel, check out Anderson’s latest project, Castello Cavalcanti, a short film that stars Jason Schwartzman as a racecar driver who finds himself among his Italian ancestors after crashing into a statue of Jesus.
