Paul McCartney Chronicles ‘New’ Year in Documentary
Paul McCartney fans wanting a deeper look into the musician’s time spent recording his new album New are in luck: Palladia, VH1’s sister channel, is set to air a one-hour documentary tomorrow night that promises an in-depth level of access and behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of New, plus exclusive footage of his 2013 shows. Simply titled Paul McCartney: Something New, the special premieres at 9 p.m. EST tomorrow night, with VH1 Classic rerunning it on Friday night at the same time.

It’s been another fantastic year for the former Beatle. He was Rolling Stone‘s cover star in October and promoted New in a bunch of fun, and yes new, ways. He played a high school in Queens, treated New York City to a short, free show in Times Square, wrote a fan back after 50 years and even said some nice things about Yoko Ono.
McCartney just wrapped his first tour of Japan in 11 years. Although there are no 2014 tour dates officially on the books as of now, it would be surprising if he stayed away from the stage.
