Skrillex Plots ‘Skrillex Takeovers’ in Multiple Cities
Superstar EDM artist Skrillex is taking his concert experience to the next level in 2014 with a series of shows he’s calling “Skrillex Takeovers.” The concept finds Skrillex curating a series of shows at different venues over the course of a few days in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Amsterdam and Barcelona.
The first Skrillex Takeovers occurred two years ago, when he hosted multi-day parties in Los Angeles and New York. Skrillex will perform at each location, as well.

San Francisco is the first city to host these new events, which will run from February 3rd to the 8th. The bill includes A$AP Rocky, Seven Lions, Jack Beats and more. From there, Skrillex will hit Brooklyn from February 10th to the 14th with Lunice, Just Blaze, Bro Safari and more. Next up is Amsterdam, where he’ll set up shop from February 19th through the 23rd with Jack Beats, Bro Safari, Icarus and more performing at clubs and on a boat. Lastly, they’ll cap things off in Barcelona from February 26th through March 1st, and Benga, Alvin Risk and more are scheduled to perform.
The news should satiate Skrillex fans, as the musician has been rather quiet through 2013 aside from a few live performances. He recently told Rolling Stone that he’s working on a new record, tentatively slated for next year. “I’m going to be out there and doing some new shit,” he said. “There’s still more stuff on the record that’s yet to be seen. It’s still me — the same fabric, but a new coat, a better coat.”
