Arcade Fire’s Neil Young ‘Dream’ Comes True at Bridge School Benefit
Talk about a dream come true: Arcade Fire singer Win Butler woke up recently after having written what was “basically a Neil Young song” in his sleep, and then got to play the song with Neil Young himself this past weekend at the Bridge School Benefit.

Young joined Arcade Fire onstage to contribute vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica to the tune, called, descriptively enough, “I Dreamed a Neil Young Song.” After a shaky start, Butler and Young locked in the harmony on the song, which sounded like something Young might have written for Harvest or After the Goldrush.
Along with Arcade Fire, the 2013 Bridge School Benefit featured performances from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jack Johnson, Tom Waits, Heart and My Morning Jacket. Arcade Fire were added to the bill as substitutes for the Killers, who dropped out earlier this month.
