Watch Stephen Colbert Visit Trump’s ‘Golden Shower’ Hotel Room in Moscow
Stephen Colbert staged a hilarious MTV Cribs parody on Tuesday’s Late Show, hosting a guided tour of the Moscow Ritz Carlton presidential suite. The site was allegedly where President Trump‘s “golden shower” tape, first referenced in the Steele-Russia dossier, took place.
“For the past six months, people have been talking a lot about alleged activities involving Donald Trump in the Ritz Carlton presidential suite in Moscow,” Colbert said. “I’ve been thinking, ‘Why doesn’t somebody just go and look in the room? So I did. I rented it. This is the room, 1101. Here’s the key. Come on.”
As the camera spun around in flashy Cribs style, the host explored the suite’s grand piano, views of the Kremlin, powder room (which the Ritz Carlton “prefers you use”) and a crystal vase with nude images on it (“depicting, I believe, the allegation that’s in the dossier”). The comedian approached the bedroom door but didn’t go in. “More on that on the show,” he cracked.
Colbert ended the segment in the master bathroom, highlighting the sauna in particular. “Oh, if this wood could speak,” he deadpanned. “Hundreds of the world’s most powerful men have come in here to sweat their balls off. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to make that 101.”
On Monday, Colbert kicked off The Late Show‘s “Russia Week” by crashing Russia’s top late-night program, Evening Urgant, to chug vodka shots and announce his 2020 presidential candidacy.
