Watch Brett Eldredge Sing Melancholy New Song ‘No Stopping You’
With an August 4th release date for Brett Eldredge‘s new self-titled album just around the corner, it’s time to debut the final video in the country crooner’s three-part Airwaves Sessions. For the final installment of the series, Eldredge takes on new track “No Stopping You.”
“‘No Stopping You’ is very much about my travels and about how sometimes you you fall out of love, or you fall in love and you realize the other person needs to go experience life a little more,” Eldredge tells Rolling Stone Country. “They’re not ready for that commitment yet and you’ve got to let them run, got to let them go. Being able to let go sometimes is an important thing.”
The Airwaves Sessions have seen Eldredge handpicking several new Brett Eldredge tracks and performing them live in an old airplane hangar. Eldredge dreamed up the sessions both to pay homage to his love for travel and because it gave him a fresh backdrop in front of which he could share new music with fans in his favorite format: live performance.
“I want you to dig this version and see it with a little bit of a different twist,” he explains. “These are some of my favorite songs on the record, and some that I thought really showed what this record has in store, and the depth of it.”
The new album is the follow-up to Eldredge’s 2015 release Illinois and also features the single “Something I’m Good At.” Eldredge describes the new project as a “labor of love,” one he hopes fans enjoy listening to as much as he enjoyed creating it.
“I love to give my fans new music,” he says. “If I could, I’d give them new music all the time because I’m always writing music. I’m always growing and trying to think of the next thing I want to do and say. The wait has been killing me, so just to be able to deliver that to them gives me gratification.”
Previous Airwaves Sessions feature “Castaway” and “Love Someone.” Eldredge is currently on tour through the end of October.
