Watch Usher Teach James Corden Club Dance Moves on ‘Carpool Karaoke’
Usher became the latest artist to join James Corden for some “Carpool Karaoke” on Tuesday’s The Late Late Show. The duo sang Usher hits while also performing an unexpected good deed.
Upon entering the vehicle, Usher is immediately met with his hit “Yeah” on the speakers, with Corden relishing in the Ludacris verse.
Even though the premise of this “Carpool Karaoke” is Corden calls Usher because he’s “in the worst traffic and needs to get to work,” the two quickly find time to pull over in a parking lot so Usher could teach the late-night host some dance moves he could apply at the club.
After singing “Let It Burn,” the duo make another unscheduled detour to Usher’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star, where they give the plaque a good “spit-shine” cleaning. “I find it odd: You work all of these years, as hard you can, only to have people walk over you as a star,” Usher said.
A karaoke of “Caught Up” follows, with Usher and Corden then debating whether or not Usher, a self-proclaimed vegan, is actually a vegan, considering the singer’s fondness for eating chicken, beef “and bacon for breakfast.” “That’s like saying I don’t drink at all. I only drink beer, cider, vodka and red wine,” Corden joked.
Corden and Usher then sing “I Don’t Mind” and deliberate the appropriate time to call your girl a “bitch,” with Corden arguing that there’s never a proper occasion for that word in his marriage. The latest “Carpool Karaoke” ends with, mid-“OMG,” the two spotting a pair of mechanics pushing a Porsche down a Los Angeles street, so Corden and Usher hop out to help.
“I had no idea when I got in your car I’d end up pushing cars and cleaning my star” Usher noted before they launched back into “OMG.”
