See Jon Stewart Berate Bar Mitzvah Boy for Jimmy Kimmel-Themed Party
Jon Stewart made a surprise appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday to berate a 13-year-old boy for having a Kimmel-themed bar mitzvah, and not one dedicated to the former Daily Show host.
Kimmel first told his audience about how Media, Pennsylvania teenager Will Rubin decided to have a Kimmel-themed party, with the host even taping a little monologue for the occasion on the condition that Rubin give Kimmel half of his grandparents’ gift to him.
Kimmel then spoke with Rubin via satellite, at which point Stewart emerged from backstage to confront the 13-year-old.
“You probably had your choice of idolizing any talk show host and you could’ve gone with a Jew, that’s all I’m saying,” Stewart said. “Will, don’t be fooled by [Kimmel’s] learned-looking beard and his sad, puffy eyes. He’s not rabbinical; he’s just unhealthy.”
Stewart added, “Wouldn’t you rather idolize a talk show host that is also circumcised? I don’t know how to put this. How do the kids say it? He’s still wearing his hoodie.”
Rubin later revealed that, instead of giving Kimmel half of his bar mitzvah earnings, he would instead donate that money to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
