T.I. to Star in New Fox Police Procedural ‘Atlanta’s Most Wanted’
T.I. will star in Fox’s new police procedural Atlanta’s Most Wanted, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce the series while T.I. is also attached as an executive producer.
Atlanta’s Most Wanted will center around Marcus Armstrong (T.I.), the son of an Atlanta crime boss who is recruited to join a vice squad investigating new criminal elements throughout Atlanta. Armstrong’s precarious partnership with the cops, however, will threaten his own long-held secret, which could derail his entire life.
Seasoned screenwriter Rodney Barnes will pen the Atlanta’s Most Wanted pilot. Barnes has previously served as a writer and producer on several sitcoms and comedies including The Boondocks, Everybody Hates Chris and My Wife and Kids. He also recently co-wrote an adaptation of Arc of Justice, a book about the landmark Civil Rights trial of Ossian Sweet.
Along with Atlanta’s Most Wanted, T.I. is working on an array of film and TV projects. His VH1 reality series, The Family Hustle, just wrapped its sixth season, while he’s also developing a new single-camera office comedy with Kevin Hart for Showtime called The Studio, which centers around the goings-on at a recording studio.
As for his movie career, T.I. is set to begin filming a new feature comedy, The Trap, with Mike Epps and over the summer he’ll get to work on Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man sequel. He’s also set to appear in the William H. Macy-directed comedy, Krystal.
